Marriage certificate from US is Valid for CP interview

My wife and I are currently working in USA on H1B Visa. We both are from India.I have consular appointment for my GC at Mumbai.
We married here in USA 3 years back and have marriage certificate issued from Virginia state.

Is the Marriage Certificate from US is valid for consulate to process my IV case
OR
Do they require marriage certificate strictly from India?

Does anyone has any advice?
