Marriage after GC to a H1 Holder.. What next???

If a GC Holder marries a H1 visa holder then -
1. What's the process to sponser the spouse's GC?
2. What happens if the spouse's H1 Visa expires. Can the spouse stay back in the US.

1. What's the process to sponser the spouse's GC?
The GC holder files the I-130 form. It takes about 5 years until a visa number is available.

2. What happens if the spouse's H1 Visa expires. Can the spouse stay back in the US.
The H1 visa holder must leave the USA.
