First off, this forum has been very informative even if I started reading it only today. I have come across a lot of posts with individuals getting their greencards sooner rather than later.

Here is my timeline
Arrival in US - F1 Visa - Jan 2000
OPT Start - Jan 2003
Marraige to USC - Sept 2003
Application I485,I130 & I765 - Mailed in Nov 2003 - NY District Office 26 Fed Plaza
Receipt date(RD??) - Dec 04,2004
Finger Printing(FP??) - Jan 06, 2004
ZERO NEWS AFTER THIS!!

Now the weird details..
Didnt get an EAD based on my I765 by the time EAD based on OPT expired on Jan 19th as a result of which I had to forefeit work for three months
So on March 6th,2004 (90 days after receipt) I had to stand in line from 3 in the morning to get a temporary 'interim' EAD. I received and returned in the high hopes that I would receive the permanent EAD soon, As of today no news of any EAD but recently learnt that I need to file for renewal of the EAD as my EAD is only an interim date with a expiry date of March05!
Has anybody been experiencing these kind of delays, the District Office in NY has the following processing times for my applications -
I485 (July02); I765 (Feb04) ;
I 130 processing date of 11/2001 according to NBC.

On another note - what is full form of MBC??

I have not received information from any source regarding the cases pending except to be told that they are not currently processing my case at this time. Am I missing anything/paperwork or does it just take so long in the NY District offices.

I didnt employ the services of any law firms, Does anybody think that this is required.I think i will do so in the near future as I need to travel out of the country (I 131 needs to be filed) and need to bring my parents to the US. Can my wife file for any papers for them to come here? Any thoughts on this from anyone??

Appreciate any replies

further information

Although FP had been done in Jan 04, no updates to online status. Is this normal?? Have not received any updates to my receipts. And as everybody has been noting..no updates to the I130 Case either. Any body with a similar timeline/description have their cases pending in the NYC District Office. Appreciate any guidance

On another matter- who is the best elected official to approach in the westchester county, ny for pleading/informing about immigration issues?

Thankz
