Hi again,
I am a GC holder and have a priority date of Feb 2005 from Vermont service center for my husbands I130. Is it possible to move my appication at this point to the California processing center, as the dates there are currently Jan2005. Is it goingt to complicate matters and make matters worse? Or is it as simple as filing an AR 11? Please advice.

AR-11 is only used to inform your change of address to DHS. It does not update the address on your immigrant application. You HAVE to call USCIS to update the address on your application.

I think your file would get transferred when you change your address and go to a different state which comes under the jurisdiction of CSC. It what you ask (to move your application to CSC without changing address) was possible, then everyone in US would ask their case to be forwarded to CSC as it has faster timelines.

Thanka again ari4u. So if I change my place of residnce to somthing under the purview of CSC, then I should be set to move my file from VSC to CSC. Is that right? Also, we are both originally from India. So does the processing date of Jan2005 at the CSC appy to everyone or we should be looking somewhere else for country specific dates?

I dont know how it would affect your PD when service centers change. My guess would be that your original PD would be retained, but others here can comment on it...

The only thing that can change is that his I-130 will be approve faster if the other center is faster, just that. But the priority date will be still years to become current per Visa Bulletin. And to get him here since you are a GC holder you and he must wait for that date to become current.
Good luck,
