I am working oversea and as I was told by my company attorney before I leave, I should be able to get my US citizenship. Here is my case but I have hard time trying to reach him again.
I am planning to land on US 2009-09-01. 5 years prior to that day, I have been physically IN state for 921 days and OUT for 905 days.
-I have OUT state on 2007 DEC. I've applied for reentry permit and N-470. They are both expiring by the end of 2009.
Question:
1. In my case, what's the possibility of getting naturalization?
2. I was told, if I plan to get by on 2009-09-01, I should stay there for 3 months before submitting the naturalization form (N-400). is it right? why?
3. After N-400 is submitted, can I leave and work oversea? do I have to extend my reentry permit and N-470?
