***MARCH 2004 - EB2 still waiting ?***

Guys,

Anybody with March 2004 notice date for I-485 (EB2) category still waiting for approval notice ?

Mine is March 1, 2004 and it's painful to see the new update with a June 1, 2004 date.

No word on my case yet. I gave my Code 2 Biometrics (Picture and Index finger print) on Aug 5th, 2005.

Called FBI to find out, but they said they haven't recieved the fingerprints from USCIS. Usually they are sent electronically and reach the same day to FBI. Contacted the local ASC office to find out why the biometrics were not sent to FBI but no answer from them. Basically they didnot even look into their systems. They just said, it takes time, please wait and see. :mad:

Please advice what to do ?

I think, Bio code 2 doesn't go to FBI. INS uses photo signature and fingerprint to produce card after approval.
 
Sorry to ask this silly question..

How do I know(which document says) the category EB1,eb2 or eb3?
What is this Employment Based I485. Currently it is processing June1- 2004 in NSC. What this mean. please explain? :(

How did you contact the FBI to get your status Info(from USCIS)?
I would like to do that for my case and check where it is currently.

Your employer can better confirm under what category your I485 was filed. It depends on your highest education + certain years of experience based on which your employer decide whether to file under EB2 or EB3. EB2 processing is faster than EB3. We have different types of categories when we talk about I485... 1) Employment Based, 2) Family Based 3) Refugee or Asylum etc...
You need to refer VISA Bulletin to know what year and month of procesing is going on at all the 4 National centers... Please dont look at the info for individual centers like NSC, CSC, TXC or VSC etc...

How did u callFBI, i mean whic number and what info did u give them to get a update on ure status. Mine is Sept 2003, 485 notification date.
