On February 3, 2004, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in MIAMI, FL for processing. Our office in MIAMI, FL will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to receive information about local office processing times.

Do not worry. TSC has merely offloaded its burden on Miami, because the latter is much faster in processing than the former and has lesser workload. Do note that your case is not slated for an interview and this means you should not care if your case is with Atlanta DO or Miami DO.

NDINDIA,

Does your wife have any pending AP or EAD application with TSC? If yes, what are the status of these cases?

I have experienced a lot of bizarre things with TSC. My derivative's 485 case was transferred to local office without mine. Local IIO then transfer the case back to TSC becuase they could not approve the case without primary's.

Then my 485 case was approved, but the derivative's case was once again transferred. The on-line status is pretty much the same as yours. The I-131 case was also transferred before the I485 transfer. Don't know which trigered which.

My experience is that local office IIOs are generally very nice. If your wife is called for interview, at that time take the chance to insist them to transfer your file too (if you job is stable). That way both cases can be in good hand.

we did move 7 mths back, but same city in ga

we moved 7 mths back in the same city in georgia. we had applied for EAD which was approved sometime in mid jan 2004.
Man..........TSC is making it really tough :(
