March 2002 Approval - thrilled but confused

Finally, I got approved today after along wait.....

I am currently in Sydney, Australia looking for my father who has suffered a stroke. I have taken a 6 months leave of absence from my current employer in US and have left US on Advance Parole.

I understand that I'll have to return back to the US using my parole to get my passport stamped. Once my passport is stamped, can I return back to Australia immediately ( in a week) or do I have to stay for specific period of time in US before I can leave?

I am thrilled about getting my approval but am confused about my next step...

You can leave asap after the stamping.
If you need to be in australia longer, check the details for Reentry permit...

Congrats. and sorry to hear about your father - hope he feels better.

You can leave the US the same day after stamping if you like.

BTW do you have the details/dates of your filing handy.

Congrats!!! Yes you can leave and think about re-entry permit for a longer stay there.

if u expect ur stay to be for an extended time, then u should consider applying for a re-entry permit just in case
