Is your RFE complicated?
For example, did you get laid off before 180 days and the RFE is about employment letter?
I think if it should not take more than 60 days after the response for RFE is submitted - I could be wrong, since there is no rule in INS. Best luck. I am in a simliar boat: RD May, 2001 and got an RFE in March, responded in April and now started waiting process (again!)

You should definitely call them since your\'s is passing 60days,
on the RFE, it clearly says if after 60 days still no news, you can
call them.

RD March 2001, Received RFE at end of Feb, 2002, replied March 2002.
I\'m still waiting.
I\'ve never been out of job or status,
and has been with the same employer all along,
but the employer changed name (after 180 days of I 485).
I called them last week, they told me wait another 30 days.

My RFE was for employment letter only. I have been with the same employer since I started my GC process. Sorry the RFE dates should be Recieved RFE in Jan 2002 and replied back on Feb 13 2002.
I did call up INS and got the routine answer that it is pending, its with an officer but the extra security checks might be the reason for the delay. The only problem that I know of is that my I140 was approved for CP though I never opted for it and was sent to Mumbai Inida. But I got an email from the Mumbai consulate that they mailed back my papers on Oct 16 2001 to VSC.

Did you or the attorney request Consulate in Mumbai to send the I140 back to INS or it happened as part of the AOS process?

Guys with RFE
Did any of you apply for EAD/AP extensions? Any problems in getting that? I am just hoping that sending in these applications would trigger them to assign the case to an officer / approve them if it has already been assigned. I am also waiting with an updated AVM for RFE reply received on 03/27.

Mine RFE
Mine was received by INS early Apr. It\'s been more than five weeks!
Never applied EAD, straight case and never changed jobs etc. don\'t see any issues as I see. RFE was for updated employment information
which I have all already submitted when I filed 485.

I applied for EAD extension for my wife in Jan 2002
We got the EAD in 3 weeks.I was hoping that, it would trigger some action on my 485 case, maybe it did as an RFE was issued around the same time for employment verification. I have been with the same employer all along and there have been no name changes etc.
Its getting very frustrating!!
