Was it a standalone 140 or a concurrent filing ? Any info on the category - Eb2 or 3.

As ironic as this may sound, I know the exact details of his case because my case was filed at the exact same date with the same RD. We work together in the same department
. Due to a stroke of bad luck, my case got transferred to Miami in July. I am a resident of Atlanta GA and have no clue why the cases are in Miami. There is no apparent reason for the transfer either. The funniest thing is that the notice for the transfer said that they have transferred it to "speed up processing". As you can see "speed up processing" means that they will screw up your process with lightning speed.
Anyway, here are the details of my friends case -
Priority Date - August 2001
EB3 category
Concurrent 140/485 - 03/35/04 RD
FP - Sometime in early Nov
140 Approved - 12/17
485 - Pending approval.
Since the 140 got approved just a few days ago, his 485 might get approved shortly. Either he or I will keep everyone posted.
As for my case with the same RD. I have not heard anything since the stupid transfer to Miami. My company is in the process of starting a congressional inquiry.
