Mar 2003 RD, 2nd FP notice

Hello,
I just got 2nd FP request from VSC, on a very short notice.
Here are some details:
RD: Mar 2003, 1st FP: May 2003 (online status still shows "pending review")
2nd FP notice was mailed from VSC on 8/17/04, but the scheduled FP date is 8/31/04 - just 2 weeks from the notice date!
Does anybody know whether 2nd FP notice means my case is progressing, or is it simply a routine, not related to 485 adjudication? I hope I can interpret this as a good sign that VSC is ready to process my case soon.
Please share your experience on the correlation between 2nd FP and 485 adjudication.

Based on the posts lately, once the second fp is done, people are getting approved in 2-3 months.

May I know, what was your fp1 date.

We are in the same boat. FP2 mailed out from VSC on 8/12. Scheduled on 8/26.

I think thats good news for you. Once 2 nd FP done you can expect APPROVAL any time.

Did your online status changed saying that " 2nd FP sent ....."
I am also in the same boat, expecting 2 FP.....my dates are given below
 
I too am in march 2003 with finger prints having expired no info yet , have see 2 LUD with out any cahnge in the messages. Do not know whats going on ???

Lets keep each other posted for any updates..since our case dates are close. Also i just gave my second FP. Lets hope and pray for approvals.
 
First FP Done in March 2004 -Received FP2 scheduled for Sept 18th

Hi, :)

I have received FP notice scheduling FP on Sep 18th.
1. Nothing unusual except that I completed my FP1 in March 2004 i.e. less then 5 months ago.
2. There is no FP notice sent for my wife -May be it has been delayed by Mail Room/USPS.

I guess one the option is to wait for wife's FP notice till Sep 18th else go for FP with wife and see if they let her do the FP2.

Guru's any suggestion.

Me too, in the same boat!!

140 AD March 2002 (Non - Concurrent, EB2)
485 RD 05/12/03, ND 05/19/03
EAD1 & AP1 (AD: June 2003), EAD2 & AP2 (AD: May 2004)
FP1 March, 4 2004

Received FP2 Notice for Sept 18th (Newark, NJ) only for me.

There is neither LUD change nor email notification from USCIS.

Responding to a few questions, mine was NOT concurrent filing. And the file is still in VSC.
Online status did not change. It still shows "On May xx, 2003, the fingerprints for your I485... were collected and are pending review". But my lawyer got the 2nd FP notice. She said INS may change online status after my 2nd FP is done, but online status is not that important.
Hope 485 is processed soon after 2nd FP. Fingers crossed...

I think whoever got the 2nd FP notice is luck. We did FP on May 23, 2003. It just expired and no news yet.
