I am not going to make a test of the USCIS search engine database, however...
I tried to search some cases just post statistics...
Dont get me wrong...but one of us must be the one with the case number assigned from SRC or WAC...
The random date I chose was Aug 11th (if the business day/working day of USCIS in year 2007 theory is valid for counting the second 3 digit on your case number, August 11th would be 244), thenthere are many cases rejected.

so here is the test
The valid case numbers are 50001 to 50662
I randomly chose the series 520-599 and got 20 applications rejected.
Is this an alarm....1/4th applications are rejected ?
...it might not be the same trend for all days and all numbers...it is just one small sample which donot cover the whole populii.

Thanks

The USCIS reject cases on a regular basis due to incorrect filing fees, missing signatures, missing documents, etc. It would be interesting to compare it with pre-July statistics. I wouldn't be surprised if USCIS screens cases more carefully now, but it is also possible that a lot of filers (and lawyers too) are simply confused!

I-485 filings arise from a variety of sources (employment based is a small fraction), thus it is possible that not all applications well prepared. Establishing a narrow filing window (July 18 to August 17) will aggrevate the above fact.

Just shut the hell up, man !!!
