Hi,
I did my fingerprints in San Francisco @ Broadway on Thursday, 4/27 @ 9am. I called the FBI in yesterday afternoon and this morning on 4/28 to check the status of my FP but they told me they have not received them from INS. I noticed most people saying that they checked with FBI within the same day and FBI confirmed they received them. I also had to do my finger prints manually after they determined that they were not clear enough on the computer. Has anyone been called for a repeat and what else can they do differently if they already did a manual? I asked the lady how long it takes to submit them and she said it takes 1 day or the same time but I am not sure if this is true given that I had to do it on 2 papers manually. I need to travel again and I would like to know approximately how long (if anyone has an idea) that the CIS sends the fingerpints to INS when done manually. Also, does the office in Broadway open on Saturday as I was thinking about going to check with them to see if they can tell me if there was any problem.
All the people I have dealt with were very courteous and helpful including at the CIS office. Any similar experiences would be appreciated or at least timelines of FP sent.
Thank you,
