Mandamus and movement to another State

When I file a lawsuit, I have to do it in the District Court where I live. However, can I move afterwards to a different State and still have my case processed by the same court where I used to live, or would the court drop the case for lack of jurisdiction?

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.
