Making POE and Leaving

I have made a POE at Boston on De27 02 and received the PC recently.
My Wife and Kid would be making a POE at Boston in the month March.

1. Can they go back to India after couple of weeks after making POE and return with in 6 months with the temporary evidence that INS will stamp on their passport ?
2. If so/ Will INS send the Welcome letter and PC?
3. Can they apply for SSN and Leave US.

I kindly request every one to share their opinions and let me know if it is ok.

If it does'nt take much time for them to get their physical GCs, I would suggest to have your dependents wait in usa, till they get their cards.

I am not sure, when u can have them apply for thier ssn.

Every LPR (Lawful Permanent Resident), also known as GC, has to be physically present in US for atleast about 6 months in a year to maintain the LPR status. There can be exception depending on individual cases.

Answer to your question is YES.

INS will send welcome letters and PC as per their schedule.

3. Can they apply for SSN and Leave US.
I am sure they can apply for SSN and leave US.
