I have a query regarding manitenance of same address for GC purpose.I was initially living in Nebraska. Now I have recently moved to Texas.I am expecting my GC in 3 months.I am still maintaining an appt in Nebraska.I also continue to recd my pay chq in the Nebraska address. How long can I continue doing this? Will my file move from NSC to TSC?Is there any rule regarding the above mentioned?I would greatly appreciate ur inputs on the above.

Hello GheSee

As long as you maintain and continue to receive ALL mails at your old address, you don't have to really file change of address form.

INS does not want to hear that you lost their notices because
you moved to new address. Please note that simple "mail forward
request with USPS" does not always work and you might
miss some letters from INS.

I don't think your file will be transferred to TSC because
you moved to Texas. But, they can transfer your case to the local INS office in Texas for interview. (OR if you maintain your old
address then it will be transferred to the local INS office close
to your old address.)

Rest is upto your good judgement.
