Guys - my US GC process is going on (and stuck cos of visa retrogression), and I am moving to Toronto for a couple of years..at the same time I have applied for Canadian PR, which should come through late next year...now when the US GC comes through later, is it ok to keep both the PR's or do I have to give up one of either?

U do not have to officially give it up. Just persue one and ignore the other. The one that is ignored will cease at some point in time, do not have to worry about it.

I am not sure about this. One can obtain PR in Canada like from Family ties with spouse and another one can get GC from employer or DV lottery. If one looses the residence then it is due to residency requirement for US and Canada not because you can not have both residency at the same time.Peters said:Just pursue one as bigboy mentioned
If you join a Canadian Business and work in US you can keep GC and PR Card together.
