Please correct if I am wrong.
I have an employment offer at US company overseas.
In order to maintain continuity of residency I need to apply to preserve continuity of residence to avoid the loss of the time already spent as a permanent resident in meeting the five year continuous residency requirement.
But I also read that the LPR must be physically present and reside in the U.S. as a permanent resident for an uninterrupted period of one year prior to the absence.
I have recently went for 1 week vacation overseas, does it mean I am disqualified because of that?
