Hello experienced Montreal CPers who are landed immigrants in Canada!
Wanted to gather information about experiences at the border once you
get your passport stamped with 551.
If you are currently a resident of Canada, after your CP, for a period of
time, till you resign from your current job and complete the move of your entire household to the US, I would expect most people might have to cross
the border a few times (to find a new place to live etc. etc.).
Has anyone run into any issues with either the US or Canadian immigration
officials regarding the same? It is well known that you can not maintain
both the "permanent" residencies forever (on paper, longer than 6 months),
however, I really hope that they will not cause any issues for say a
couple of months.
Any thougts or experiences?
