I Saravanan Ramasamy have 5 years of experience in business application maintenance. My skillset includes Mainframe - COBOL, JCL , DB2, CICS, IMS DB / DC, ASSEMBLER , REXX, PANELS, VSAM. I am an IBM Certified (in DB2 Universal Database Fundamentals V8.1) Database Associate. I am adept in analysis, design, testing and implementation of development task, maintenance tasks and application development. I have excellent leadership and communication skills. I have exposure in all the phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). During my experience, I have honed my technical skills and I have also created different types of tools using REXX and PANELS as listed below. 1. Issues Tracking Tool - used to track issues between onsite and offshore communication. 2. COBOL Standards Fix Tool - used to report and fix standards for COBOL program. 3. CICS Map/Code Generation Tool - used to generate CICS physical map and initial part of coding for CICS program. 4. KSDS Fileaid / PDS Update Tool - used to browse / update VSAM KSDS file and also used to update members of PDS for any changes required where Fileaid tool is not available. 5. JCL Creation Tool - used to create JCLs like Cobol run jcl, DB2 Bind jcl, Cobol DB2 run jcl, Cobol IMS run jcl and Cobol IMS DB2 run jcl (fine tuning is required for the jcls created).
