Mailing the N-400 for self and wife

Folks,
What is your experience with mailing the N-400? Is it better to mail self and wife's applications together in the same package, or is it better to mail the applications separately?

If I mail the apps separately, even if one of our applications gets routed to a slow/bad processor, the other person's application would at least move along in a timely fashion.

Thoughts?

I mailed for both of us in the same packet. That way we got fp/interview
notices for the same time/date.

Seperate package - NO DIFF

I mailed in seperate package still we got FP at same time/day.
