mail husband/wife applications together??

should i mail both together in the same envelope or separately

We sent ours in the same envelope. Checks were cashed about a week after we sent in the application. Waiting for receipt notice in the mail.

We mailed it together but there is no guarantee that the notice/receipt letter
will be send by INS/received by you on the same day.

In fact my spouse already got her notice letter last week on 23rd Nov while
I am still waiting. She received the fingerprint letter also on the same
day. I haven't received any so far..
