mail forward of plastic card

since I have to move to another location, I will not be able to receive the plastic card before I leave. I heard the post office will not forward mails from BCIS, is this true?

By the way, could I leave my friend's address when I do passport stamping, then BCIS will send card to there, or it is better to leave lawyer's address? any suggestion will be very appreciated.

moved to new address

Here is what happened in my case with the foinger print notice.

the fp notice was sent to my old ny address. the post office pasted the yellow redirection sticker to my new NJ address and sent it back to INS Service center.

The INS service center then put this existing envelope and resent it to my new address.

The whole process took about 3 weeks , but eventually i got the document

so INS does take care of redirecting it
