I have faced with question. When I have filled the form DS 230 (I am the beneficiary and my husband is the main applicant) for the item 1 “family name”, I wrote my husband’s family name and then in item 2 “maiden name”, I wrote my family name before marriage. Now that I have received the 2nd package, I saw they wrote my husband’s family name for me while in my passport I have my maiden name (family name before marriage). I wonder is it possible that it causes problem for me in interview or it is not big deal and it is normal procedure as everything has been shown in our marriage certificate, birth certificate.
