Hi every one i got the magic email today that they order my new card.
Thank everyone for support may God bless all of us.

Congratulations! Can you please elaborate on the J visa waiver? Do you have to apply separately for that and when? Reason I am asking is that my wife was on a J visa, but she is in a process of waiving it. Currently has H visa. She has to work for the Veterans Affair for three years. I thought that at the end of the three years we just have to file the I-485/I-130 package. You confused me now. Thanks

Hi itc,

I did apply for waiver separately. I started the paperwork before I even filed I-485 and I-130. But the towards the later stage, these two processes kinda overlapped. One thing is for sure: if your wife has to fulfill 2 yr home residency requirement, she won't be able to adjust status until she gets the waiver for that. For the detailed timeline and procedure of my J-1 waiver, you can see the link below:

However, I am not sure if your wife will have to go through the same procedure as I applied for waiver on the basis of No Objection from my home country.

Good Luck.
