My 485 was approved on Apr 8th. I noticed a status of "Notice welcoming new resident was sent" immediately (within a couple hours) followed with a status of "Card Production Ordered"

I am now waiting to see the card that i have been waiting to touch and feel for soooooo long.

While I am excited, I dont think I am overly joyed having waited 7 yrs for this to happen. My heart still feels for the lost oppurtunities during these times.

Many thanks to the forum moderators for helping folks like me connected. It helps to read and understand the issues going on. Not to forget - there are a few true experts who provide so much confidence for the most needed.

Appreciate everyone's time, effort and dedication to keep the forum alive and kicking.

Congrats cyberbabu and enjoy your freedom.When I called NSC last week they told me my case is with an officer.I don't know how long it's going to take.

No LUDs

Absolutely no LUD's..it came as a surprise.

My LUD dates were all in 2007 with the last one on 03/31/2007. Nothing changed ever since then

Hopefully all the old timers get approved soon.

We need to wait till June bulletin for our Pd's current.

Since the beginning of this year, I wanted to find out what was going on with my case just to understand if i had to renew my EAD (which i eventually did). So I opened a ServiceCenter ticket in early Jan and no response from USCIS after 45-60 days. I called USCIS the 61st day and they promptly opened a second ServiceCenter ticket. This time much to my surprise I got a email response from CRIS in Mid March that my "case is currently waiting to be assigned to an office" and that it cannot be expedited.

Bottom line, not much of progress, not even an LUD but some status update that gave me the impression that the waiting had to continue.

Now, your case is with an officer. I dont think your wait is going to be too long. It should come thru before Mid May for sure.

Keep your fingers crossed. Btw, First Lady/Senator & al dont help anymore. I learnt that very early and dint venture into any of that.
