Hi All,

My Interview was scheduled today at 11:00 am. The Salt Lake Office was quite crowded but most of the crowd was for infopass. Here is the detailed account of what happened:

1) Arrived at the USCIS Office 10:30, Interview was scheduled at 11 AM.
2) I was asked to put the IL in the tray, and "so" I did obediently:D
3) Then the wait time started...I waited until 12 noon...yes I did...my name was not called....that made me a bit concerned...
4) At about 12:10 an officer came, called my name and asked me to follow him.

5) Once in his office, he asked me to sit down. No Oath, no raise hand stuff....simply asked me to sit down please....Now having read in almost all the messages kay you have to raise hand and sing the "truth song"...I didnt...and that made me nervous....

6) The immigration officer was quite professional, and started with by asking for my DL, Green Card, and passport. I humbly did so :D .

7) He mentioned that he will take the English and Civics test first, and then we will go through the application form and that I will have opprtunity to correct anything on the form if I wanted....again...I humbly agreed...:D

8) I was asked to write a very simple english sentence, and was asked to read a simple english sentence. then he made me sign those papers where those sentences were written....

9) The he asked me 10 questions...although my first six were correct, but he kept asking until 10...and all 10 were correct and he noted so.

10) Then he pulled my application form which was submitted, and started reading each question from the form; I had to answer it, and he would verify it from the form....it was not slow...but rather very quick process..but he would listen to complete answer and would verify it with the form. He did that with each question in the form...

11) I had two corrections...one where I forgot to mention about my university employment...he simply added it by writing on the form, and the also I had to update a few things. He took care of those by over writing on the form...As sugessted by Flydog..I myself mentioned to mil that I have two inadvertant mistakes and I want to correct them while he was going through the form...

12) He asked me to give him new mailing address, which was changed...I was never asked if the AR-11 was filed...although I filed them whenever needed after coming to US.

13) After the corrections he made me sign the pictures on the side.

14) In the last set of questions on N400 he specifically asked if I had any citations or anything...although I had said No on the form...I did mention my three speeding tickets and told him that I have court disposition...on all those tickets...he said no i dont need those...but he asked are any of those DUI or above 500 dollars i...i humbly said no...and he moved on...as if we never talked about them:D

14) At this point of time the IO started talking about my family, and my employment that How long I have been married, and where I work and a few short questions about my educational background.

14) He told me that my application has been approved and recommended for approval; and then he said that I will get the oath letter within a few days. Also he mentioned that my oath will be in September.

15) Congratulated me, we both stood up...a formal hand shake with exchanges of smiles...and that is it...

16) o yes..he handed over N-652 with pass check on English/Civic Test, and a check on Congratulations phrase....

Thanks for all your help Immigration.com....you are all awesome....

Thanks
