Lufhtansa -- transit visa

My wife will travel by lufthansa air line in dec. She has advance parole and waiting for green card.
When I called german consulate, they mentioned transit visa is not required.

Jsut I would like to ask if anybody is in the situation and has more information. Who does need transit visa?

I travelled twice this year by Lufthansa. You need a valid Visa thats it. There wont be any problems..

What if the visa is expired but you have AP?
