LUDs and the USCIS website

Hi all,

I have been following this forum for a few weeks now and most of the time keep a close look on people's timelines to try to figure out when I should be expecting something or not. So far I have been possitively surprised with my case.

I have one question regarding the LUD's. People have been mentioning them and some say not to worry about them since at times you get stuff in mail without any e-mails and stuff.

I am just wondering if by LUD you guys just talk about the Column on the USCIS site that says when they looked into your case the last time or if something actually changes in the wording on that site.

This site has really been great so far and I love all the great input you guys provide. Oh and by the way if anyone has filed in early dec or so pls post your timeline in my Dec Filings Thread :p

And just in case I don't write anymore posts or might forget I wish everyone some Happy Holidays and a good start into the new year.

I was wondering the same thing

I was going to post the same question this morning. I have received no LUD for over a month, I have NEVER received an email from USCIS (I have checked yes I am set up to receive them), yet things keep happening. I received my fingerprint notice, had the appointment, and got my green card interview scheduled all without an LUD. I wonder if it's up to the individual doing the actual work on the case to enter the LUDs and if they just don't feel like it you don't get one.
By the way you are exactly one month behind me on your timeline. Could you please enter your District office into your signature?
Happy holidays/Merry Christmas/etc to you and everyone else too.

Hi there
You receive emails when something major happens such as they request more info, they received the info you mailed in,an approval, they ordered your card.Basically it is when your message changes.
For LUDs you do not receive an email, lud simply means an IO touched your file. In your portfolio where it says 'Last Updated' that is your LUD. You just have to login and check.

HI and thanks for your replies.

I actually don't know yet Which DO i have to go to. I live east of Los Angeles and I am thinking that I will end up going to the sub office in San Bernadino! Once I'll know for sure I will put it in my signature...

Your DO should be listed on your NOA's Notice of Actions. I see you went and got your FP fingerprints done. That should be your DO

now i know what LUD is haha :p you need to register to be able to see it :p im learning a lot of things after my bad interview :)

hi

i got my FP done at an ASC. I think that is the only thing they do there, but not sure? My Lawyer keeps talking about the interview being in SAn Bernadino. I will check my AOS and see.

DO Application Support Centers conduct interviews?

checked my NOA and could only see that it was at the MSC. So my question is, will i find out my DO after MSC send my case there or would my lawyer know since he did most of the work?
