Gurus,

Please explain, I have a PD of 2001 and my I-140 was approved last year (2006) after successfully porting PD from my older I-140.

This year I moved and I promptly filed Ar-11 online and then I filed I485 in June immediately. Finger printing was also completed.

However last friday I have seen a LUD on my I-140 that was approved last year. It still shows as approval notice sent status, and same is the case with my old I-140 (This old I-140 was filed by big corporation so I am assuming they did not close/revoke this case since I left them).

Do you think this is some routine check? Has this happened to anybody in the past?

Thanks,

If I read your post correctly ...... your I-140 was approved sometime in 2006, you filed your I-485 in June/2007 and in July/2007 you see an LUD on your already approved I-140.

Relax, this is normal in cases where 140 and 485 are NOT concurrently filed.

USCIS has simply linked your previously approved I-140 with the I-485 you filed just now, hence the LUD without message change. I had the exact same experience in 2004 when my approved I-140 had an LUD about 5 weeks after I filed my I-485.

In the case of concurrent filing, USCIS has both applications in hand and when the I-140 is approved, it already has the I-485 information linked to it.

In case you have any lingering doubts, contact your previous company to check if they revoked the old I-140 ..... not that it matters for you since you have already ported the PD.

Hope this helps.

Cheers !!

Thanks...

I just wanted to make sure that it is normal....that is why I posted this message....this portal is great we can find out if people have similar experiences...

Anyway....my other I-140 still shows the old LUD since it was last approved.....my older company is too big to deal with individual revocations...I hope so anyway.

Visibility to LUDs .....

how do you know that you had an LUD?
mine doesn't say when it was updated last?

Please create an account via the USCIS case status page (https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp). Toward the bottom of this page, you will see "Create/Edit customer portfolio account". Select that link and follow the instructions to create your account, add your receipt numbers to your portfolio and also enable the e-mail option.

Everytime you login to this account, you will be able to see the Last Updated date (LUD) along with the latest message. Turning on the e-mail option will ensure that you receive e-mail notifications everytime the message changes (you will not receive e-mails if only the LUD changes without a message change).

Hope this helps.

Cheers !!

LUD Change

My PD is June2006.
I-140 approved in Aug2006.
I-485 RD Jul23rd.

LUd changed on 140 to 7/28/07

strange?

Yes, indeed. The very same I-140 which was approved a few months ago; now on 10, July 2007 had been updated with a pending status.

Strange & absurd., but true.
