LUD on approved EAD and AP

My EAD (approved in April) had a LUD on 08/05 and my spouse's AP and EAD (approved in June) had LUDs on 08/05 and 08/06. I was just curious to know if anyone knows what this means?

I saw a LUD on already approved 140 and AP on 7/28, even my spouse AP had a LUD. Please go through the I485 issues forum, get to Texas service center issues, you will find a big thread on this.

After seeing your post I went back and checked ours. We have LUDs on both of our I-131 on 08/05. Looks like docny is right.
 
I think it is some sort of automated statistical analysis and there is a pattern to it and the pattern is filing date of I-485.

What puzzles me is why I-140 and I-131 and not I-485?



MY POSSIBLE EXPLANATIONS

They may lining up cases for pre-adjudication???

They may be assigning unused visa #s to these cases???

Namechecks/FBI FP data was uploaded to the applicant file, but when one goes for FP I-485 gets the LUD and not I-140 and I-131???

They may have assigned visa to all these applications during the July fiasco and now returning them as applications are not ready for final adjudication???

or

They are just playing with us.:(

USCIS is a mystery................... Only God and inside people will know what it is...............


Does anyone know whether I-140 application files stay separate or combined with I-485 even if they are filed non-concurrent? As this may explain LUD on I-140 and I-131.
I have read somewhere that I-765 is separated from The I-485/I-131/1-765 packages for processing at TSC (and that is why there is no LUD on I-765) and thus a random I-131 LUD may be tied up to I-485 but then why LUD on I-140 and why not directly on I-485.
 
I got a LUD on my approved I-140 today (08/12). I hope it means they're looking at our cases and our 485s will get approved soon :)
 
We also have an LUD on 8/12 on the I-140 and we had LUDs on both APs (but not on EADs) last Sunday just like deena!!!!
 
I also got LUD on 08/12, and I am in the middle of answering RFE.
It's good to know from this forum that many almost everybody got LUD on that day. So it is not a big deal. I don't need to guess around, as I am already swamped with the RFE.
 
Me too. I had LUDs on approved I-240 on 8/12 and pending I-131 but no any LUDS on I-485 since last filing 09/2006.
 
After LUDs on my I-140 and I-131 (for both me and my wife) on 08/12, I also saw an LUD on my wife's I-485 on 08/15. However, there was no LUD on my case (primary case). Few questions:

1. Is the LUD on I-485 a good sign that things are moving?
2. Is it normal that the derivative I-485 got an LUD earlier than the primary I-485?

I am from India.

So, is it normal that the derivative I-485 got an LUD earlier than the primary I-485? Do the approvals for primary and dependent come at the same time, or there could be time difference between the approvals?
