I submitted mine and my wife's I-485 (please see signature) on 04/17/2007. Today our I-485 checks were cashed and I was able to get the case number from the back of the check. So, the LUD on both of our I-485's is 04/19/2007. However, I also see a LUD (04/18/2007) on my already approved I-140. Is this normal? Is this how it happens? Please give your helpful suggestions. The very same thing (LUD on approved I-140 upon I-485 receipt) happened to me. If you want to read anything at all into that (it appears to be just a routine procedure), then read the positive - they got your I-485, pulled up the underlying I-140, verified that it's approved and put your I-485 into "ready for processing" pile [warning: dramatization!]. Now you've only got the name check left... Good luck!

Some people get the LUD after approval, I got LUD for my approved EB2 140,, and late the message changed to -- your information has been noticed to the consular and airport ----- etc. Recently when I asked for relinking my 485 to the EB1 approved I got another LUD. see my signature.
relink works when you write to them

I requested by mail not once three times.
I think TSC is good to do the relink, when my application was pending with VSC they were telling me to refile another 485, but fortunately it was transferred to TSC and then I sent letters for relinking by fed ex , and made phone calls, last call I made gave me some hope, and TSC person told me that my background check, name check all cleared and 485 will be processed in 60 days and If I do not hear anything by that time call them again. I also got the information that my EB! EA is linked to the 485. so I lhope things are working out, but to confirm, as I do nto belive them 100%, till I get the approval of 485 I am not able to say anything positively. anyway we all live on hopes!
