Friends,

I got 3 emails from CRIS today with the same message as below. My Lawyer had initiated a status enquiry on Jan,27th 2006.

Also the LUD on 485 is 02/21/2006. Anyways I am happy to see the changed message at last instead of that one with 800/900 days .But What this message could be ? Any body has simmilar emails before? Just praying for approval....!

======================
Receipt Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On February 21, 2006, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283

======================
Thanks,

Sorry to disappoint you, but this message does not mean anything. All it means is that your lawyer contacted USCIS and that USCIS touched your record. I had gotten one when I called and spoke with the USCIS reps over phone.

If your message changes from this to something else, then there might be good news.

Good luck.

You said, "I had gotten one when I called and spoke with the USCIS reps over phone." Have you ever received “more information concerning your case” within 30 days from the TSC after contacting with the USCIS? If no, did you call the customer service again?

As with most LUD emails, the canned text is used in a variety of situations.
They appear have a limited number of standard responses for all situations.

You can also receive the above notice if you send in a correction to your case e.g. a typo on a receipt notice. In such a case you may not get any additional correspondence from the service center.

As KJ said, its bascially an indication that your record was touched.

KJ,

Thank you.

I was already 99% sure about the same. But 1% HOPE of approval made me to post it here. I saw the LUD changed again today. I will keep posting the updates....!

Thanks,

The USCIS set the rule, "If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283." Do not ignore but follow it.
