Hello gurus,
I am the principal applicant. I and my wife have pending I485 applications.
We both received the same RFE asking for us to prove that my wife(with her post marrital last name) and I were married at the time of the application.
This needed the following documents
1. the marriage certificate
2. the name change in passport for my wife.
We sent these documents to our lawyer and they sent them both in a single package immediately to INS. My wife's application shows a change of LUD immediately. But mine does not. So, I requested our law firm to send it again for my RFE. They did that and they have the return receipts for both the times.
The last date for response on the RFE has passed and still it does not show online a change of LUD for my case. I have called repeatedly the NSC and VSC and they still say the same that they have not received a response yet.
My lawyers say that there is nothing they can do about it.
What are my options here?
Do I have to wait for the denial now or is there something I can do?
