Second LUD after File Transfer?!

My wife and I just got an LUD after the initial LUD (12/15/05) after our file was transfered to Seattle two weeks ago. Any idea what is happening? Is it that may be Seattle received our files? There was no change in the message. It still says on "December 15th we transfered your file blah blah...."

I have heard from my US Senator's office that LUDs are also assigned when the file is received by the next person. For example, 1 LUD is assigned when the case is sent from the clerical office folowing an RFE response (such as in my wife's case) and 1 LUD is assigned when the case is received by the adjudications officer who will continue processing the case. LUDs seems to be the official way to acknowledge sent and received files through an internal computer system that only shows up as an LUD for you. My guess is that your case is now officially received in Seattle, which is good news.

Yes bjorn, that would be my guess too! Although from what I read on this forum, it seemed like people don't usually get any LUDs after they receive a notice that their file was transfered. So what happened seemed strange to me!

I'm going to wait until February 1st. If I don't hear anything from the Seattle office, I'm going to try to get some help from a senator.

Thanks for your input!

We just got a third LUD after the files were transfered! I wonder if this is related to the email I sent to the Seattle office today!!!
