R u considered to be a Legal Permanent Resident from the day you are approved or from the day you get the stamp ?

Any inputs is highly appreciated.

Please help me...LPR DATE ????

Thanks guys :-)

So is from the date you get stamped, is it from the date u get the actual card or is it from the day you get approved.

:-)

Things are a bit confusing there - you are considered a LPR from the date you're approved; but you aquire the evidence of being an LPR on the date of stamping. Plastic card will arrive much later, but the date of its arrival bears no consequence of your LPR status.

Great, that clears much of my confusion..

So what should i take for my stamping ?

Would appreciate any inputs...

Thanks
Sanjay

The approval notice is pretty clear about that, read it carefully.
Normally if you need your approval notice, 2 photographs and a valid passport (if your passport has expired or about to expire, you would normally need another piece of ID and an additional photograph as they would not normally stamp an expired passport, but would rather issue an I-94- like form)
