I just have 4 citations, because my papers were just published last year.

USCIS requested for additional envidence to show my influnce of my field. such as publications cited my work. (in the NIW/RFE letter)

How to make up for the low citations? Any advices will be welcome.

I guess maybe you may add some thing like : invited reivew writing, have submit some informations such as gene sequence to public database ...

puma2012,
1. Get a few more letters (perhaps from big shots in your field and if possible from different parts of the globe testifying the significance of your work, uniqueness of your methodology/inventions, and what long-term impact to the field and society);
2. Show the impact factor of the journal, quality of the journal, worldwide distribution, etc. Perhaps letters from editor-in-chief would be helpful especially if you have have served as an associate editor or reviewer for those journals.
3. Submit copies of emails requesting preprints of your papers, or documentation of students/researchers abroad continue this research direction from your pioneering study etc.

These are only a few examples.. Do a search on this forum. Nikkasingh, eb1doc etc. have highlighted many other examples.

Hi Puma

I agree with 2006gc. If you search these fora properly, you will find many excellent suggestions over the last few years that helped folks like me prepare their case. Just that some of the threads may not be visible easily since they are buried underneath more recent ones. Put the search function to good use.
