Lottery winner and Asylum

Hello everyone, I am thinking of fiing green card lottery this year, but I had a question.
If I win for this DV2004, will it be quiker to wait for my GC through adjustment of status or follow the DV2004 procedure?
my time line according to INS.gov is as follow:
Sept. 15, 1999-Mar. 13, 2000 Oct. 1, 2004-Sept. 30, 2005
anyone has done this in this NG?

If you are from an eligible country, I would suggest you send in an entry since it does not cost anything. Let us worry about timing if and when you are selected for the lottery.

I asked my lawyer the same question, and he verified Gilbert's answer. OK - as long a you are from an eligable country and fill it out correctly.
