Guys,

My original VISA was F-1 and I have lost my original H-1 approval. I was planning to leave for India in Decmeber. I need my H-1 Approval for consulate stamping. Any advices?

Also I will be applying for my I-485 in a week. Do you think I can get Advanced Parole by then? If I do, Can I use my AP (and not H-1 approval) to get my VISA stamped?

Thanks

Check with the lawyer but here is my understanding:
If you get your EAD and AP, you must move to EAD after filing the form (I-9?) and then you can use your AP to re-enter the US. You don\'t need a H-1 visa to re-enter.
But, remember that once you go on EAD, you lose all the benefits of being on H-1 (such as easy H-1 transfer to another employer etc.)

Duplicate H1 Approval

Can I not call the CSC and ask them to send me the copy, or tell them that I have lost it.

lawyer can send a request for a duplicate h1b approval notice and csc will send it to lawyer

I\'m not sure

I\'m not sure about benefits of being on H-1. How do you want to make a transfer from one H-1 to another H-1 after applying for AOS and having your EAD in your hands?
Not to mention what will happen when you are fired being still on H-1 visa...
