Lost the EAD card !

Gurus,

My spouse lost the vallet with the EAD card ? What should one do in this situation?

Please Advice !

If you have already updated the I-9 with your employer, there is probably nothing else required.

But just to be safe, apply for EAD again citing the loss of the previous card ("replacement") - that is your best course of action.

I had lost my EAD card as well.They recommend you do the following:
1.) Inform police that you lost your EAD or EAD was stolen
2.) Apply for replacment though not really required but you never now.
When you renew your EAD attorneys normally ask for the current one so that they attach the photo copy of the current EAD to make the life of representatives at USCIS easy in finding out which year you are extending.

I had lost my EAD and I applied for replacement a week back and immediately after filing for replacement I found mine :)
