Lost Previous I-797

Hi,

I had H1B status from 1999-2002 and then I went to F1 status from 2002-2004 and am now again on H1B status. I was thinking of going to Vancouver for H1B stamping.

Problem is that I have lost the previous (not the present one) I-797's. I have all the documents pertaining to F1 and have H1B visa stamps on my passport.

Is there a risk in going to Vancouver for stamping?

Does anybosy have similar experience?

I'm in a similar situation. Came here on F-1 and haven't left the country since. Changed status to H1 and then changed employers. Now, my previous i-797 was lost by the attorney and now I am wondering how I could show that I have been on status. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
