My employer lost my I-797 form – H1B approval notice, but I still have my original I94 cards. Anyone knows if I will be OK to go to Tijuana for visa stamping? Any idea what I should do in this case, like having my employer certify that the original I797 is lost and the photocopy I present is from the original? Also if I do need an original one, what would be the procedure to get it from the INS?
By the way, anyone knows what to put in for "National Identification Number" in the new DS-156 form?
