Lost NP

June2006

I'm an asylee and have applied for naturalization.

I had lost my NP some three weeks before applying for asylum and then went to the nearest police station. However, the front desk person at the police station took down my name and contact number and advised that she would call me if it turned up. I didn't know at the time that I needed to ask for a police report. I have since moved to another state.

I completed my FP last week and am waiting for my interview. I needed to travel once a couple of years ago on business (not to COP!) using a Refugee Travel Document. Since I had been asked to travel on business to another country last year, I had to turn in my expired Refugee Travel Document and got a new one. The trip was later cancelled.

In reading the posts and the "Guide to Naturalization", it seems like NP is one of the crucial documents that I have to show at the interview.

I would appreciate your reviewing the above and advising what to do for/at the interview.
Thanks

sure... not that i really care but i just wonder what they are. nevermind.
no no ..I'm sorry ocworker I was talking to june2006.
NP:national passport.
C.O.P.: country of origin.
the main idea here ..june2006 try to explain that he never go back to his country of origin ..sametimes upon citizenship immigration officer may question the credibility of the applicant if he granted green card based on asylum case and he renew his national passport and travel back to his home country.
I'm sorry again ocworker

no problem. i just thought if i knew what NP and COP meant, i might be able to do some research or google to see if i could help the OP out. actually, i was thinking if NP means national passport, but again, i never heard about "national passport" so i did not want to ask in case ppl might think i made it up.

now i learn something news everyday.
