Lost Naturalization Certificate of Spouse

Hello,

My sister-in-law has Naturalization interview coming next week. Her green card was on the basis of my brother's US citizenship. Now, my brother has not been able to find his naturalization certificate (Original or Copy) and we have been reading on USCIS that my sister-in-law will need original certificate to show in the interview.

She is planning to take copy of his passport. Would that be enough? Would she still need anything else besides passport as she does not have my brother's naturalization certificate?

Any advice will be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Thanks,
ndp

Original passport OR naturalization certificate OR US birth certificate of the citizen sponsor will be required, not just the copy.

For complete list please read the thread "Documents needed for naturalization". The list is quite exhaustive. Original passport of spouse is acceptable in lieu of NC.
