Lost my tax return copy for 2001, how to reply to RFE

Hi, I have lost my tax return copy for 2001, now I notice that I-485 RFE most likely require tax returns for the past 3 years. How can I handle it? May I request IRS to give a copy? (I have kept all W-2 forms and tax return copies for all other years except 2001)

Anyone has such experience please give a help, thanks a lot!

Hopefully you eFiled and have a TurboTax copy some place.

If not you can always call IRS and they will send you a summary copy of your Tax Returns which I believe is acceptable.

You can request a transcript of your tax return from IRS. Visit irs.gov for more information and download the form. You can also visit local IRS office.
