I still have the upper portion of the I-797 (employer's copy) but I dont have the bottom portion (employee copy). I believe that the immigration in Japan took all (both my I797 copy and i-94). Now i have a new I-94 since i entered.
I need to get my H1b stamp in Canada soon (as my current visa is expiring). Would the upper portion enough or do i need to request a new copy of I-797 ( i heard it takes months?
