The green card lost after the interview. Will this affect the oath ceremony and eventually getting citizenship. What is returned instead of gg at the ceremony? I wonder if anybody had the same experience? Please, need advice.

No it shouldn't. Document the loss; file a police complaint, file I-90 with USCIS , get a receipt and a temporary stamp in your passport.

I dont think you need to file I90 yet. If your oath is scheduled you need a "gate pass" in lieu of your GC to enter on oath day along with interview letter.

Do file a police complaint, and contact your Dist Office immediatly, they can advise you furthur. I hope you have photocopies of your GC

Just wondering in case if the GC is lost, what is the likelihood of someone else picking it up and use it to get across the border?

If the GC is reported lost to BCIS and a new card is issued, then what will BCIS do to ensure that the lost GC is identified in their system to prevent fraudulent usage of the lost card.

This has to do wither whether there is anything with BCIS POE to deferentiate the old and new card technically, not just by A# or name.
