After 3 years of waiting on my 485 interview, today was the day! I went to NY INS office and was told that my file is lost. No other information was given. Its an EB2 case originated in Vermont and then transferred to the hell-hole in NY.

Besides telling me that i am SOL (Sh*t outa luck), does anyone have any ideas/thoughts/opinions/hope?

please share. I am all ears!

There were many cases like this in TSC in Late 2002 and 2003. For some of them they asked resend the documents. And there was famous shredding case in CSC. Search for those threads you will get more idea.

Hopefully you have a copy of your I-485 application and receipt notice. If so, provide copies to the USCIS and ask them what you need to do next. A lawyer would be a must in this situation.

Call your senator/representative too. They seem to carry a big stick!
