I'm stressed a lot due to this problem, and would appreciate any input or suggestions I could receive. Thanks to everyone in advance.
I've completed 6 years on H1-B so currently working using EAD. According to the BCIS website, EAD renewal cards for my spouse and I have been approved since end of August. The lawyers have received the approval notices but the new cards were sent to out home address. It has been more than a month and we still haven't received the renewal cards. We have not moved and have been receiving other mails at the same address. In fact the original EAD cards were also received at the same address.
We've only few days left on my current EAD cards. Also, the date on which our current card expires, we will be in India on vacation (using Advance Parole). My lawyer has opened an inquiry this week with BCIS but that will take 30 days before they get back. I'm not even sure whether that inquiry would be of any help
What should we do? Can we go to a local BCIS office to get new cards? Lawyer says it is ok to travel since we have the AP (even though the EAD card would have expired when we return back). What do the experts here suggest?
Again, thank you so much for your time and for your replies. Let me know if you need additional info.
