Lose job after our baby is born in US

My wife is pregnant. Both of us are on H1b visa. We won’t get our green card for at least another 2 years.
My question is if both of us lose our job after the baby is born, can we stay in the US legally? What type of visa would work us under this situation?

After 21 yrs.

Your baby can't sponsor you for green card until she/he turns 21 yrs old. Having baby born in the US will not automatically give you a valid status. If you lose job, you may need to find another job with H1 or change to F1(student) or B2 (visitor) status.
